Mental Youth was born out of a conversation. A conversation with a psychologist who posed a simple question: what if clothing could help make mental health more visible? That idea stuck with us. For a long time. Until we realised that a brand could be more than just what it sells.It could spark conversations. Build connections. Make more people feel comfortable talking about how they feel.
That’s how Mental Youth was born. The name brings together two ideas that we believe are inseparable. Mental represents the mind. The way we think, feel, grow and live. Youth represents an attitude. The curiosity to keep learning, the courage to change and the desire to become, every day, a little more ourselves.
Our symbol is an ‘O’. A simple, open and imperfect shape. A circle that is never completely closed. Because we believe that growth is never finished either. Everyone is on their own path. Every story is still being written.
From day one, we wanted our products to reflect the same values. That’s why all our pieces are designed and made in Portugal, using 100% organic cotton. Because we believe that looking after people also means looking after the way we produce.
Mental Youth is a brand. But, above all, it is an invitation. To speak. To listen. To grow. Together.

A Mental Youth nasceu de uma conversa. Uma conversa com um psicólogo que lançou uma pergunta simples: e se a roupa pudesse ajudar a tornar a saúde mental mais visível? Essa ideia ficou. Durante muito tempo. Até percebermos que uma marca podia ser mais do que aquilo que vende. Podia iniciar conversas. Criar ligação. Fazer com que mais pessoas se sentissem à vontade para falar sobre aquilo que sentem.
Foi assim que nasceu a Mental Youth. O nome junta duas ideias que acreditamos serem inseparáveis. Mental representa a mente. A forma como pensamos, sentimos, crescemos e vivemos. Youth representa uma atitude. A curiosidade de continuar a aprender, a coragem de mudar e a vontade de nos tornarmos, todos os dias, um pouco mais nós próprios.
O nosso símbolo é um "O". Uma forma simples, aberta e imperfeita. Um círculo que nunca está completamente fechado. Porque acreditamos que o crescimento também nunca está terminado. Cada pessoa está no seu próprio caminho. Cada história continua a escrever-se.
